Summary: The Gibson Les Paul Classic combines the early ‘60s style Les Paul model with some functional and time-tested modifications. As expected, the Les Paul Classic is crafted with a mahogany back and maple top coupled with a SlimTaper mahogany neck and a bound, rosewood fingerboard. ‘60s Burstbucker zebra, open-coil pickups provide classic Gibson tones from the era with a bit of extra punch thanks to the open coils. The control assembly features 4 push-pull pots, which provide choices of coil tapping, phase switching, and Pure Bypassing for functional and versatile sonic variety.

Body: Mahogany (9-hole weight relief) with a bound Maple top, gloss nitro Honeyburst finish.

Neck: Mahogany with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.694” nut width, 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearl inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: ‘60s Burstbucker pickups, 2 Push/Pull Volume (Coil-Tap), 2 Push/Pull Tone (Pure Bypass/Phase), 3-way pickup selector, Grover Rotomatic tuning keys, ABR-1 bridge/stop bar tailpiece, gold top hat control knobs.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has some buckle rash worming on the back. Some of the finish has worn down on the back of the neck near the 3rd, 4th, and 5th frets. The pickguard has regular wear.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
