2021 Gibson Les Paul Special Left Handed
Summary: The Les Paul Special returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. Originally introduced in 1955, the Les Paul Special has been embraced by musicians for over 60 years. It is based on the Les Paul Junior with a slab mahogany body, fat 50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge, an additional rhythm P-90 pickup, binding on the neck and additional controls for the rhythm pickup and the 3-way toggle switch.
Body: Mahogany with a gloss nitro TV Yellow finish.
Neck: Bound Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, vintage 50’s profile.
Pickups/Hardware: Two P90’s, wraparound tailpiece, 2 Volumes, 2 Tones & Toggle Switch (Hand-wired with Orange Drop Capacitors), Vintage Deluxe w/ White Buttons tuning keys, nickel hardware.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition with almost no signs of use.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
