Summary: This Ampeg AMG1, a wooden guitar crafted in Japan and incorporated the Dan Armstrong headstock shape, body & scratchplate shapes along with volume, tone, switch and output jack placements all following the looks and the lines of the Dan Armstrong acrylic guitar model.


 

Body: Mahogany/Maple in a Purple Burst finish.


Neck:  Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length 1 5/8” nut width, 22  frets,  pearl micro dot inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: 2 Seymour Duncan SP-P90 pickups, Wilkinson tailpiece/bridge.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in greatt shape. It has surface scratches, some finish peeling and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck has a few nicks which do not affect playability, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has some buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

 

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
