Breedlove Pursuit Acoustic Bass
Summary: This 32-inch scale length Breedlove bass delivers surprising projection with its solid Sitka spruce top. Along with its body shape, a guitar's top is the defining element of its sound. Spruce will ring loud and clear. Long treasured by cabinetmakers and shipwrights for its simple, straight-grained beauty, strength and workability, mahogany-used for backs, sides, and necks is also one of the true classic tonewoods. This bass also includes Fishman electronics. It comes equipped with the Isys onboard preamp system.
Body: Spruce top with Mahogany back/sides.
Neck: Mahogany with a Ovangkol fingerboard, 34” scale length, 1.69” nut width, 22 frets, small pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Chrome closed gear tuning keys, Fishman Isys onboard preamp system, Ovangkol bridge.
Cosmetics: This bass is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use. It has just few very light surface scratches on the body that can be seen in a reflection.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
