Summary: Introduced in 1991, the EM-Series consisted of two solid-body guitars featuring their patented "Swept C" cutout design and recessed neck pocket. In 2008, the EM-2 was reissued in the Prophecy line of guitars along with the Les Paul, SG and Futura, including features such as highly figured quilt Maple tops, 24-fret Speed Taper satin necks with binding, jumbo frets, unique "blade" inlays, graphite nut, made in USA pickups, Epiphone's new, patent-applied-for strap locks, hand-stained colors and eye-catching Pearl knobs. This EM-2 has a beautiful blue quilted top and plays and sounds great.

Body: Poplar, quilt maple veneer, swept "C" body design with recessed neck pocket.

Neck: Bolt-on maple Speed-Taper, ebony fingerboard with blade inlays, 24-frets, 24.75" scale, 1.68" nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: EpiActive-T & EpiActive-R Humbuckers, 1 Vol./1 Tone control, 3- way pickup selector, black hardware, Grover tuners, Epiphone strap locks, graphite nut, tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru body design.

Cosmetics: There is pick wear on the front of the body and some buckle rash on the back of the body. The screws have some rust on them and one of the pickup screws is missing but does not affect playability. Overall, this guitar is in decent shape.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 7 lbs., 4 oz.

Case: This guitar ships professionally packaged and fully insured.
