Epiphone Emperor VC
Summary: The Epiphone Emperor VC offers amazing tones. The laminated maple back and sides are topped with a select spruce top for a tone that's smooth and warm with plenty of high-frequency content. A newly installed humbucker is the perfect complement for the tonewood selection, providing plenty of output. The set maple neck of the Emperor is comfortable to play and offers great sustain. A new wood tailpiece, pickguard, and knobs have also been installed.
Body: Laminated Maple back/sides, Spruce top.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, pearl/abalone rectangle inlays, 20 frets.
Pickups/Hardware: Single black humbucker, (wood pickguard, knobs, and tailpiece), floating bridge, master volume/master tone controls, Gotoh tuning keys, gold hardware.
Cosmetics: This guitar has light surface scratches throughout. There are a few small dings on the top of the body. The back of the neck is in great shape and the frets show minimal wear. There is one spot on the top of the body near the cutaway where there is a circular blemish that can be seen in a reflection. (See Photos Please)
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: Gotoh tuning keys have been installed. A wood tailpiece, knobs, and pickguard have been added. The pickup has been changed to an unbranded black humbucker. The bridge has been replaced.
