Summary: This 2013 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman G6122-62, a true rock 'n' roll classic, features the appointments that made this guitar a legend - dual foam string mutes with red felt surrounds, standby switch, laminated 3-ply maple top, gold G-arrow control knobs, aged white binding with black purfling, gloss urethane finish, aged pearloid thumbnail inlays, gold vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo and gold Grover Imperial tuning machines. A distinguished instrument from the earliest days of the British Invasion, the G6122T-62 Vintage Select Edition '62 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Hollow Body with Bigsby is the guitar that laid down the foundation of rock as we know it. 


Body: Laminated 3-Ply Maple with simulated F-Holes body with laminated back and side in Walnut Stain finish.

Neck: Maple with an Ebony fingerboard, 24.6” scale length, 1.68 ” nut width, 22 frets, pearloid Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays.


Pickups/Hardware: TV Jones Filter'Tron Classicpickups, Grover Imperial Die-Cast tuning keys,  Bigsby B6G Vibrato Tailpiece, rocking bar bridge, G-arrow knobs, bone nut.


Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has the lightest wear a used guitar can have on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back leather buckle rash guard has some buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
