Summary: This 2000-2002 Guild D-50 features a solid Sitka Spruce top with solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, for a rich powerful sound with exceptional warmth and complexity. Guild adds scalloped Adirondack bracing for power, nuance and responsiveness, which provides a punchy tone with smooth top end.The D-50 manifests vintage charm with timeless appointments such as a tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, white ABS binding, checkered back center strip inlay and Guild’s peak logo inlay on the headstock.
Body: Solid Sitka Spruce top with solid Indian Rosewood back and sides in Natural finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.68” nut width, 20 frets, pearloid dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Fishman pickup, Guild 20:1 Open-Gear tuning keys, Rosewood bridge, bone nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body and a little wear around the headstock. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
