2019 Guild F-512e Maple 12-String
Summary: This 2019 Guild F-512e features a tight grained solid Sitka spruce top with arched flamed maple back and maple sides. The F-512 Maple provides sharply focused trebles and an articulate mid-range, perfect for a full, centralized, harp-like sound. Braced with delicate, scalloped Adirondack spruce, this model produces the shimmering highs that players have come to expect from a Guild 12-string. Elegant cosmetic appointments include the classic Guild “V-block” inlays, gold Gotoh hardware, a beautiful Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, with LR Baggs Electronics.
Body: Solid Sitka Spruce top with flamed Maple back (arched) and sides in a natural finish.
Neck: Mahogany with Walnut Center Strip with an Ebony fingerboard, 25.5 ” scale length, 1 7/8 ” nut width, 20 frets, V-block pearl inlays.
Pickups: LR Baggs Electronics pickups, Gotoh SE701 Open Gear tuning keys, Rosewood bridge, bone saddle and nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the pickguard. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. There’s the slightest gap on one outcropping of the bridge (see photo) Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
