 Summary: This 1977 Guild F50 SB  features Guild’s revered jumbo body style in 6-string configuration, a solid AAA Spruce top, gorgeous flamed Maple back and sides, three-piece mahogany and maple neck, scalloped bracing, multi-stripe inlaid rosette, bound 14/20 fret ebony fretboard with stripes and pearl block/abalone wedge inlays, Grover/Guild enclosed tuners, and a rosewood bridge with ivoroid black-dot pins. It is fully bound, top and back, with multi-stripe binding on top, and it has a large tortoise pick guard and a bound blackface headstock with the pearl inlaid Guild name and G/Shield logo. It is a full-sized jumbo shape, with a 17” lower bout width, 5” body depth, and a 25.5” scale.

 

Body: Spruce top with Maple back and sides in gloss Sunburst finish.


Neck:  Three-piece mahogany and maple neck with a Ebony fingerboard, 25.5 ” scale length,  1.69” nut width, 20 frets, stripes and pearl block/abalone wedge inlays.

 

Hardware: Grover/Guild tuning keys, Rosewood bridge, bone saddle and nut.

 

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, as well as some scuffs. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.


Modifications: Missing truss rod cover, new Rosewood bridge and bone saddle, the truss rod nut area has been drilled out to be able to get a tool on it. The truss rod is fully turned.


Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
