Summary: The Ibanez LGB30 George Benson Hollow Body Guitar is an exciting instrument designed in collaboration with the one and only George Benson and Ibanez. As the first Signature Model of the Ibanez Artstar Series, the LGB30 is a more affordable version of the LGB300. With a spruce top with Flamed Maple back and sides, and 3-piece Mahogany/ Maple set neck the Ibanez LGB30 hollow body is both gorgeous and incredibly toneful. Two Ibanez Super 58 Custom pickups really let the LGB30 George Benson signature guitar shine. The Artstar Fret Edge Treatment (for a fast, smooth feel), Ebony fingerboard, Bone nut, LGB300 custom tailpiece and gold hardware round out the features on this incredible instrument from Ibanez.
Body: Spruce top with flamed maple back and sides, cream binding.
Neck: Set 3-piece Artstar mahogany with ebony fingerboard, cream binding, abalone block inlay, 20 medium frets with Artstar fret edge treatment, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, bone nut, George Benson inlay on the headstock.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Super 58 Custom humbuckers, gold hardware, two volume/two tone knobs, 3-way pickup selector, ART-1 bridge, LGB30 tailpiece,
Cosmetics: This guitar has some pick wear on the pickguard. Overall, this guitar is great shape with no scratches or dings anywhere on the guitar.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of twelve-gauge flat wound strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
