Jadeworks Butterfly

Summary: This Jadeworks Butterfly is a custom made instrument by Rhode Island based Jadeworks, features a stunning dark purple Swamp Maple top over a one piece Mahogany body that is chambered for weight relief. The neck is three pieces, with 22 frets on an Ebony fretboard, and a Birch headstock veneer. The Butterfly was crafted in memory of victims of Sandy Hook, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated accordingly.  The 25.5″ neck to be more of a D-shape, inspired by vintage Les Pauls, while also featuring a volute. The Butterfly singlecut, has two TV Jones Filter’Trons; a classic model in the neck, and a classic plus in the bridge position. A 3-way switch accompanies the volume and tone knobs, which are made of hand turned ebony to match the well appointed aesthetic.

Body:  Mahogany with Rhode Island Swamp Maple top in Purple finish.

Neck:  Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard,  25.5” scale length, 1.687” nut width,  22 frets,  purple pearl inlays, featuring a ’Dylan’s Wings of Change’ butterfly inlay at the 12th fret. 

Pickups/Hardware:  TV Jones Filter’Tron pickups, Classic in the neck, Classic Hot in the bridge,  Gotoh Delta tuning keys,  ABM 3250g fixed bridge, hand turned Ebony knobs, carbon fiber nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has very light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has very light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
