Summary: This Martin DRS2 places the solid wood dreadnought tone this company became famous for within the intermediate price bracket for gigging musicians and those looking to step up from a beginner model. Built with sapele sides and backing and a high-pressure laminate rosewood headstock, the center attraction on the DRS2 is the same solid sitka spruce top found in Martin's higher-end models which produces a crisp response and full character. Rounded out with Fishman Sonitone onboard electronics, the DRS2 can hold its own on the stage and be the perfect companion for fireside jams.
