Bitmap combines fractional bit reduction with sample rate modulation, an LFO and envelope follower, filtering, and more, for classic lo-fi textures as well as far more extreme forms of digital distortion. Bitmap can process any instrument from guitar or bass to synthesizers, drum machines, and other line level sources.

Used subtlely, Bitmap will give you the warmth and grit of 8- and 12-bit samplers. Reducing the sampling rate of your signal will bring forth familiar 8-bit video game sounds, and at higher settings will twist scales into warped, inharmonic melodies. Apply waveshaping, wavefolding, or a window comparator to your sound for heavier crunch, or soften the edges with a 4-pole lowpass filter.

Sample rate modulation can add subtle motion, or push your sound into entirely new textures. Envelope controls can create dynamic, responsive distortion and digital artifacts. Bitmap is tuned to provide maximum sustain without sputtering on staccato notes, and a drive control offers +8 dBu maximum signal level, and enough gain to sound like an overdriven mixer channel.

Bitmap has TRS stereo connections and can be controlled with an assignable expression pedal, remote switch, remote tap, CV, or MIDI, and stores up to 127 presets.
