2016 Rickenbacker 620/12 12-String

Summary: Damn the torpedoes with this 2016 Rickenbacker 620/12.  The jangly tone fills out any mix and gives songs an ethereal choral feel that can’t be replicated with a pedal or overdub.  T This 620/12 sports Rickenbacker’s gorgeous Fireglo finish & sports a solid maple body with Rickenbacker’s signature chrome “R” tailpiece.  The bound maple neck features a rosewood board, triangle inlays, 21 frets, and a 24 ¾” scale.  One majorly distinctive detail is the setup of the tuning keys, which are arranged perpendicularly and staggered with the string wind on the higher octave strings set up similarly to a classical guitar.  This allows for increased clarity, especially on chords.  The Rickenbacker Hi-Gain pickups sound fantastic and are perfect for big shimmering chords.  It features Rickenbacker’s patented Rick-O-Sound, giving you both mono and stereo outputs.  From the Byrds to the Beatles to Tom Petty the iconic sound of Rickenbacker’s 12-string electrics have been all over many of our favorite recordings.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in incredible shape, as it was part of a collection, shows no significant signs of wear. It’s as close to like new as a used guitar can be, with just light wear on the pickguard. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show no wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
