Summary: The Sterling by Music Man StingRay 4 bass is one of the most iconic bass guitars of all time. Featuring the same vintage build with an improved 2-band active preamp system, each StingRay offers a balanced-sounding basswood body and hard maple neck ensure that no matter your play style, or how hard you need to slap, the StingRay will oblige with reliable bass tone. Fitted with a Sterling-designed humbucker and a powerful 2-band active preamp system, the StingRay can create any sound from intense slaps to quarter-note thumps and walking bass lines.
Body: Basswood in Vintage Cream finish.
Neck: Hard Maple with a Jatoba fingerboard, 34” scale length, 1.5” nut width, 21 frets, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: H-1 ceramic humbucker pickup, 2 band active preamp, open gear tuning keys, fixed bridge.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches on the pickguard. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back is very clean. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
