Yamaha FG800
Summary: The Yamaha FG800 acoustic guitar is a comfortable dreadnought body style and solid spruce top, with new scalloped bracing to give this acoustic an even bigger low end and better projection for live and recording applications. Its body, back, and sides are made from nato wood (eastern mahogany) and okoume, imbuing the FG800 with a warm, full-bodied tone and striking good looks, while the satin-finished slim neck with rounded fret edges gives it comfortable playability.
Body: Solid Spruce top, with Eastern Mahogany back and sides.
Neck: Eastern Mahogany with a walnut fingerboard, 25 9/16” scale length, ” 1 11/16” nut width, 20 frets, dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Chrome tuning keys, walnut bridge, Urea nut and saddles.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. The pick guard has light surface scratches.The back of the neck has one small ding, and the frets show minimal wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
