Yamaha SA2200
Summary: The Yamaha SA2200 is a modern take on the classic double cutaway semi-hollow ES-335 with a wonderfully flamed maple top. This guitar ships with a really nice Gator 335 case & it has recently been inspected and set up by our in-house luthier.
Body: Double cutaway 335 style body with a fully bound top & back, flame maple top, flame maple back and sides
Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 22 frets, 1 11/16” nut width, fully bound headstock.
Pickups/Hardware: 2 Humbucker pickups with Alnico V magnets, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, split block inlays, gold hardware, Yamaha branded tuning keys.
Cosmetics: This stunning Yamaha is in great shape and doesn’t look like it has been played a lot. There are some signs of pick scratching on the pickguard but it looks like the plastic is actually still on the pickguard, so if you tear that off it will look even better. The truss rod cover is missing but otherwise this instrument is in very good condition.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
Modifications: This instrument is missing the truss rod cover.
